As members of a global village, FHSSA supports compassionate care where the need is great and resources are few. We listen, learn, understand and share.

Our Mission is to build partnerships to enhance compassionate care in Africa. Our Vision is a world where individuals and families facing serious illness, death and grief will experience the best that humankind can offer.

FHSSA connects more than 90 partners from organizations across the US with a hospice in 1 of 15 African countries through our Partnership Program to promote comprehensive hospice and palliative care.

FHSSA also links African hospices with government and private grant making entities as well at US universities and other organizations who share in FHSSA’s mission.

FHSSA supports our African partners to provide compassionate care to the individual, family and community. Care is given through both the health professionals at the facility and the volunteer caregiver networks in the community. Support may range from nutritional, medicine, medical supplies, bedding and school uniforms for orphans and vulnerable children, to bicycles and vehicles for transportation.
